Our Digitalization Process Coordinator Simona has achieved her career goals through determination and dedication. She joined our team as the first invoice digitizer in Lithuania and learned about the systems step by step. Now she helps other digitizers in Lithuania and is responsible for offering high quality digitalization services to Finbite’s customers. On her time off she enjoys going to concerts and is especially passionate about little-known Lithuanian performers.
How did your professional career lead you to the world of fintech?
My journey with Finbite started in April 2018, only then it was under the name of Omniva. When I joined this company I was the first Invoice Digitizer in Lithuanian team. My main responsibility was to ensure that the correct information was digitized from the PDF invoices. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to do more, so I started to learn step by step how our system worked. In October of 2019 I became the Digitalization Process Coordinator.
What is the greatest project you have seen at Finbite thus far?
In my opinion the most important project is separation from Omniva and creation of a new company – Finbite. It was a very big and important step for a company to grow and improve. Each day our market expands and invoice digitalization becomes more relevant and necessary for the majority of companies. As long as I have been working in the world of fintech, I see that Finbite has made a lot of progress and solved relevant problems. I think that is safe to say that Finbite is moving in the right direction. I think the most important thing now is to use this current situation in the world and make the best out of opportunities this has to offer, so we can move further and improve our system while maintaining a high quality service.
What are you doing at Finbite today?
My daily tasks are to communicate and provide help for invoice digitizers and offer best experience to our customers. I am also creating user manuals for new invoice digitizers, which helps them to work efficiently in the first days. I introduce them to the system and its specifics, help them when they have problems with entering data or dealing with difficult invoices. Also I help our clients on a various issues related to invoicing, its adjusting or uploading.
In conclusion, what helps you to organize your thoughts after a busy working day?
I’m pretty crazy about dogs and if I could, I would have at least four of them, but for now I have two. So after a hard day at work, there’s nothing better for me than going out for a walk with them. Most of my free time is spent outdoors, somewhere in the woods or by the lake, which especially helps me to recover from a day spent working behind a computer. When I get the opportunity, I really like going to music concerts, but I choose little-known Lithuanian performers. It is interesting to watch new bands, to see how they improve in a short time, how they attract more and more listeners to their music, it is kind of inspiring.
